Deletha Assenmacher Deletha is employed by the City of Grand Junction as the Employee Development Coordinator. She is responsible for all training/education and professional growth and development of city employees through formal and informal training as well as one-on-one coaching and team building. Deletha has a B.S. degree from Columbia College in Missouri and is currently working on her MBA degree at Colorado Mesa University. She says she has completed one third of the requirements for the MBA and is counting! Deletha is familiar with WCHRA through her coworkers at the city and has also presented at our monthly meetings in the past. She says she married the "man of her dreams" in June of this year - Congratulations! She says they have three wonderful teenage daughters and four adorable but naughty dogs. She was originally born in Grand Junction but her family moved to the front range when she was 2 years old. She now resides in Fruita. She says she is a proud third generation Colorado native and can't think of anywhere else on the planet that she would want to live! Deletha fills her spare time with her studies, kids sports activities, reading and quality time with friends and family. She says that she has over 25 years of experience in training and development and hopes that her knowledge and experience can be helpful to the organization. She is also looking forward to learning more about other aspects of HR through networking with fellow members. Congratulations and welcome to all of our new members! Ferbuary 15, 2012
Left to Right: Chelsea Knoll, Luke Jackson, Kathie McKie Kathy McKie Kathy is employed by Montrose Memorial Hospital. Inc., where she holds the position of Human Resource Director. In this position she is responsible for the broad spectrum of HR functions. Kathie says that she is blessed to have two staff members who have a lot of experience with the hospital and help to keep things humming. Kathie has a B.S, degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Colorado State University. She also has earned her SPHR and is a member of SHRM. She says she learned about WCHRA from Cindy Farnsworth. Kathie says she has been married for 19 years and has two great kids - a son who is 16 and a daughter who is 14. She was born in Denver but grew up in Montrose and currently resides there. Kids and their involvement in sports consume most of Kathie's spare time, but she also enjoys biking, hiking and..... shopping! Through her involvement in WCHRA, Kathie hopes to learn about new trends and processes in HR and earn credits to keep her SPHR current. She hopes to be able to network with other HR professionals. HR can be stressful at times, and she hopes that through contacts with others in the profession she can share issues which she can't often share with coworkers, and learn about solutions to problems that others have found. She also hopes that she can be a resource for other HR people. Katihe says that in addition to being an HR Director for many years, she is the owner of a small water company. Vickie Wickard Vickie is employed by Precision Drilling Company, LP as a Human Resources Representative. Her main duties consist of interviewing and processing new employees, but she also handles many other HR duties as may be required. Vickie has been aware of WCHRA through several companies that she has worked for. Vickie has two children and is originally from Moab, Utah. She currently resides in Grand Junction. In her spare time she enjoys camping, ATVing, boating and hiking. She says she hopes to further her education in human resources through her affiliation with WCHRA. Kim Cass Kim is employed by J & L Restaurant Concept Services in the position of Assistant Controller. Her duties consist of processing payroll for four different companies employing approximately 200 employees , including payroll taxes and all payroll reporting. In addition she provides HR support for the companies, works with Workers' Compensation and health insurance, bank transfers, accounts receivable billing and other miscellaneous duties. Kim has been married to her husband, Dan, for 16 years and she has a 28 year old step son. She also has two dogs - Cozzi and Sugar. She was originally born in California but moved during her early childhood. She has lived in Grand Junction since 1973. In her spare time Kim enjoys golfing, hiking and reading as well as spending time with her family and friends. She says she hopes to gain knowledge from networking through WCHRA as well as increasing her knowledge through the programs. Congratulations and welcome to our new members! |
