HR Certification Institute recertification credits. In 2010 WCHRA offered 22 credits. Every monthly member program and the two conferences offered credits. Credits included 15.5 General credits and seven Strategic credits. For more information on recertification credits click here.

Discounted member rates for conferences. WCHRA offers two a year, fall and spring. Colorado SHRM (COSHRM - the Colorado state council) offers one for the state bi-yearly. In 2011 it's September 28 to 30 in Keystone. SHRM, the national human resource management association has a national conference yearly. The 2011 SHRM conference was June 26 to 29 in Las Vegas.

#2 You are a Member of COSHRM
COSHRM is the state association for HR professionals.
You Are a Member
You are a member of COSHRM, Colorado SHRM, if you belong to a local chapter or to SHRM and you live in Colorado. COSHRM provides services and support to the six SHRM chapters in Colorado.
FYI, the six Colorado chapters are: CHRA, Denver area; BAHRA, Boulder area; CSSHRM, Colorado Springs area; NCHRA, Ft Collins area; HCHRA, Glenwood Springs area; WCHRA, Grand Junction area.
Take a Role at the State Level
The working body of COSHRM is the State Council. Members are the six Colorado chapters' presidents, past presidents and presidents-elect and directors of the Core Leadership Areas (CLA's). Directors come from local chapters and at-large SHRM members. Want to get involved at the state level? Apply to be a director. Most openings occur in the late fall for board changeover in January. COSHRM holds an excellent yearly Leadership Conference for board members from the six Colorado chapters. (Held in April, on the Front Range)
Biennially, COSHRM puts on the fun, informative Colorado State Conference. (In the fall, in Keystone.) This year the conference will be September 28 to 30, 2012. More information and register at coshrm.org.

SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, is the national/international association for HR professionals.
How to Become a Member
Go to shrm.org to register or use this registration form. You will need to input the WCHRA chapter number. WCHRA is SHRM Chapter #237.
