(GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, Sept 8, 2006) 

Human Resource leaders from around the Western Slope will participate in a special all-day conference at Two Rivers Convention Center on Wednesday, September 13, 2006.  The conference will feature the presentation of the 2006 HR Professional of the Year Award.

The winner will be announced at 12:15 p.m. during the WCHRA Bi-Annual Fall Conference luncheon.  The winner has been chosen from a pool of five finalists who were nominated by their peers.  An independent panel of judges that included prominent community leaders selected the winner.

The winner will be awarded a $100 Gift Certificate and engraved commemorative award with recognition in the regional SHRM newsletter and WCHRA website.
